Jerrid McKenna
Director of Neighborhood Services
Jerrid McKenna is a lifelong Santa Clarita resident. He began his City of Santa Clarita career in 2012 as a member of the City’s Youth Sports Division, and shortly thereafter transitioned to the Communications Division in the City Manager’s Office. Jerrid has held a number of roles in the City Manager’s Office, including Administrative Analyst, Management Analyst, and Assistant to the City Manager. He has served as the Neighborhood Services Department Director since January 2021.
Jerrid has extensive experience in multiple aspects of City operations. He facilitated the development and coordination of the City’s strategic plan, developed a Traffic Safety Plan to combat increases in injury collisions, and partnered with Los Angeles County to develop a local plan to address homelessness. Jerrid developed a Crime Reduction Plan which contributed to achieving the lowest crime rate on record in the City. He facilitated the development of the Saugus High Memorial at Central Park, launched the Community Library Forum, and has managed the preparation of the City’s annual budget multiple times. For his many achievements, Jerrid was recognized by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) in 2019, receiving that organization’s prestigious Early Career Leadership Award.
Jerrid has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge.
