Community Development

Jason Crawford was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and moved to Santa Clarita in 1993. He began his career with the City of Santa Clarita in March 2001. Before assuming the role of Director of Community Development, Jason served as the Planning and Economic Development Manager.

Jason has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), and a Masters of Public Administration from California State University, Northridge. He is also AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) certified.

Jason has served on several boards throughout his career including SCV Chamber, VIA, SCVEDC, board chairman of CALED and FLICS.
